Ancaster in Minor District 1 Championships
Ancaster begins their District 1 Championship tonight in High Park, Toronto against Dundas.
If travelling to High Park- please be advised that there is limited parking during the week, no cars allowed in the park on weekends. You will need to find street parking around the park and walk in. Or take public transit to the park.
Tournament Note
A special thank you to our friends at High Park for an excellent tournament, they had their field ready to play despite historic rainfalls in the area. It was a great week at Ernie Keith Field for a well run tournament.
July 18 Update
Ancaster trailed late in the game and came up just short in a 3-2 loss to Oakville, as the Whitecaps capture the District 1 Championship. Oakville will represent District 1 in the Ontario 10u Championships in Ottawa.
July 17 Update
Ancaster defeated Stoney Creek for the second time this tournament 16-4 to set up a Finals showdown with Oakville. Ancaster has to win Thursday and Friday to win the banner and advance to the Provincials!
July 16 Update
Ancaster lost to Oakville 10-4 in a tough semi final game. The Diamondbacks are in action tomorrow night in Toronto against either Stoney Creek or Dundas.
July 14 Update
Ancaster defeated Stoney Creek 11-1 to advance to the first semi final on Tuesday night at against Oakville. Winner on Tuesday goes directly to the finals. Loser goes to the 3rd semi final.
July 13 Update
Ancaster defeated Dundas 11-6 to advance to the second round of the tournament. They will face Stoney Creek at 4:30 pm on Sunday July 14.
July 12 Update
Inclement weather has postponed games tonight. Tournament begins on July 13. Ancaster plays at 4:30 pm against Dundas.
