Ancaster Little League is now offering Intermediate Little League for 12 & 13 year olds.
We recently renovated our mound at the Little League Park to accommodate this new age division. We are planning to run a full self-sufficient houseleague program. This will keep players playing baseball on a diamond that suitable for their age and against competition that is suitable for them. The league pitches from slightly further back (50 feet from 46) and has longer bases (70 feet from 60 feet), which will make for an exciting and tight game of baseball at our diamonds.
There is one practice per week and one game per week. There will also be one full weekend of play. The regular season starts early May and goes until mid August. Game scores and standings are recorded.
Upon completion of the regular season, a post-season playoff tournament is held in August. Playoffs are double knockout or series format, to be contested over 3 weeks. Games may occur on any day of the week, and may not follow the traditional schedule from the regular season. The top 2 teams from this tournament play on Championship Day and receive medals.
Game Night: Thursdays 6:00pm or 8:00pm (will vary each week)
Practice: Wednesdays 6:00pm or 7:15pm (will be one steady timeslot throughout the season)
Intermediate Weekend: June 1st-2nd (4 games over the course of the weekend)
Playoffs: Begin August 6th, 2024
Championship Weekend: August 24-25, 2024
